Becoming a Voting Member of the community

Following the agreement of the constitution and associated propositions at the conference last week, a tool has been set up so that people can indicate their eligibility to be a founding Voting Member of the DataSHIELD community. This has been notified to everyone who was in attendance at the Conference, and can be shared by them with other members of the Community. However, if you have not received a mail with the link, please make a post on this thread and someone will let you know the URL.

Everyone needs to complete the questionnaire by midday on Wednesday 16th November. Members of each Theme will then be notified so they are able to select (one or two) Theme Leads to constitute the Core Groups.

Hi Andrei,

I haven’t received the email. Can someone send me the link?

Thanks, Demetris

Please could you also send me the link?

Oops! Thanks for letting me know - it seems I mistyped one of the addresses so the email wasn’t sent properly. I’ve now corrected it so I hope you’ve all received the invite.
Best,
Andrei

I have received the email.

Hi everyone,

Thanks to all who signed up to be a Voting Member of the community. You should now have received an email for each Theme that you expressed an interest in with all members of that Theme in cc.

Each Theme now needs to choose one or two Theme Leads who will be members of the relevant (Tech or Process) Core Group.

The Theme Leads should be decided by the end of this month - 30th November 2022. Please let me know by sending me an email (as indicated in the mails that were sent out) so that I can keep track of who has been appointed.

During the first couple of weeks of December, there will be an opportunity for the Core Groups to nominate members to the Steering Committee. There will also be an opportunity for other Voting Members (who are not in the Core Groups) to self-nominate to the Steering Committee, as explained in the amended Proposition 4 (Constitution and proposals to be voted on at Conference 2022).

Best,
Andrei
