Hi, we are reviewing our password manager software and would like to know which software our DataSHIELD users would recommend?

Hi,

I would recommend Keycloak, it is a complete, secure and free solution. Opal can perform authentication using a Keycloak server by registering it as an Identity Provider. Then use a Personal Access Token to authenticate in scripts (note: requires the upcoming version 6 of DataSHIELD, based on DSI).

Thanks for your feedback. We are looking at sites with different functionality however e.g. Dashlane and Lastpass, to actively manage passwords within the group.

Ah sorry I thought you were talking about the server side… Personally I use Keepass, it’s free and open source.
