# Opal 5.5 released

Hi all,

Opal 5.5 is out, it comes with the following features:

- **API documentation** : all web services are documented using [OpenAPI](https://www.openapis.org/) standard
- **User info** : better tracking of users who authenticated via OpenID Connect
- **R/DataSHIELD authentication strategy** : usage of Personal Access Tokens can now be enforced when starting a R/DataSHIELD session
