# Opal 4.4 released

Hi,

Opal 4.4 has been released. The new features and improvements are:

- Two-factor authentication
- Views over resources
- Personal access token expiration
- Project tasks execution
- Project backup/restore interface

You’ll need the latest [opalr package (3.1.1)](https://cran.r-project.org/package=opalr) to handle the two-factor authentication in R/DataSHIELD when using username/password credentials (note that using a [personal access token](https://opaldoc.obiba.org/en/latest/web-user-guide/my-profile.html#personal-access-tokens) is recommended).
